This chunky winter cloche was made for Nav for her birthday.
Using my Great Granny’s crochet book from 1976, I based the project on a yellow cloche hat inside.
The pattern called for two strands of yarn, and using two different colours created this awesome marble look that looks fantastic.
Having such a thick yarn base makes the project super quick to make, but also adds a lot of bulk so you have to be careful when shaping the final project.
A quick steam relaxed the material and gave it a nice finished look. I highly recommend steaming if you’re using bulky yarn or making a chunky project.
Happy Birthday Nav!
